Anne Talkington
Anne Talkington trained with the North Carolina State Ballet in Fayetteville, NC, where she performed roles including include Clara and Flower Queen in the Nutcracker, Four Little Swans in Swan Lake, Prelude Girl in Les Sylphides, Fairy of Eloquence in Sleeping Beauty, and Winter Girl in Verdi’s Four Seasons. She attended the Carolina Ballet’s intensive program and went on to study with the Duke University Dance Program. Anne performed as a freelance artist for several years in the Triangle region of North Carolina. She has appeared in several local and regional theatrical productions, including Ira David Wood III’s A Christmas Carol (Theatre in the Park) and Merry Wives of Windsor (Sweet Tea Shakespeare), and modeled for the Durham Dances book project. She most recently served as Dance Captain for Something Rotten! at the Wayne Theatre. Her choreography has appeared in productions by the Duke University Dance Program and SITA Film Productions. Since moving to Charlottesville, Anne looks forward to continuing to perform, choreograph, and teach. Outside of the studio, you can find Anne working in computational cancer research as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Virginia.
