To guide Advanced dancers toward a deeper bodily awareness and integration, Maguire’s class focuses on finding access to the mover’s full range of expression and fostering an articulate, dynamic, and moving body. In this class the elements of body connections are explored to increase a mover's range of motion and expand their palette of movement choices. Maguire incorporates principles from the Laban/Bartenieff Movement System which provide a pathway to find an ongoing, supportive relationship between body organization and movement intention. The class is designed to foster self-expression, body connectivity and transformation through movement.
