Katy McCormack

Katy McCormack is a dancer and teacher residing in Richmond, Virginia. Katy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from James Madison University in 2013 and has been working in the local Richmond Dance community ever since. Katy danced with RVA Dance Collective from 2014-2022 and has collaborated with many independent dance and performing artists in Richmond throughout the years.

Currently, Katy is working towards a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University. She strives to create a community where dancers and movers do not need “technical” training to enjoy the healing power of movement. She seeks to combine therapeutic techniques and practices with movement to empower the individual to embody their authentic selves.

Katy currently teaches modern dance technique and intuitive movement but is a lover of all dance styles and forms of movement!
