Krista Varanyak is the owner and an instructor at Jazzercise Charlottesville. She is also a professor of Statistics at UVA. She grew up in New Jersey and attended Monmouth University (one mile from the beach), then attended the University of Georgia for graduate school, before relocating to Charlottesville in 2017.

Krista has loved dancing, teaching, and performing her entire life. Growing up she studied all styles of dance and especially loves tap and jazz! During her time at UGA, Krista found DanceFX and soon joined several adult performance companies- most notably the Modern Pin Ups. While here, she had the opportunity to perform, choreograph, and teach tap, burlesque, and contemporary.

Krista is passionate about empowering women of all backgrounds through movement. She hopes you feel strong, confident, and a little bit sassy at the end of every class!
