Mikayla Thompson

Mikayla Thompson is a freelance graphic designer and photographer. She uses her keen eye for capturing beautiful moments on camera as Cumulus Dance’s contracted photographer for dance and marketing images.

Mikayla originally joined the team at Cumulus Dance in the role of Art & Communications Manager June 2022- April 2023. In this role, she designed for print, digital, email, social media, and web content layouts as well as assisting with marketing video production. A natural planner, she contributed to coordination of new marketing campaigns and overall organizational strategy. From 2023 onwards, she’s continued as a collaborator with

In her spare time, she enjoys being behind the camera lens, and is inspired to take portraits and artful photos of her surroundings. Mikayla lives in the Lake Monticello area with her dog Ziggy, and likes to spend time with family & friends. She’s happiest enjoying live music at a concert, or relaxing at her favorite local wineries and taking in the stunning mountain vistas (great for photos!). She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Design with a focus in Graphic Design at Liberty University. Her freelance studio is called MattieAnnArt.
